Bloodtree Rd Broiler Farm is dedicated to raising chickens in the cleanest and most hygienic environment possible, ensuring the health and well-being of their livestock while delivering top quality produce.

Their commitment to sustainability is deeply ingrained in their operations, from adopting eco-friendly farming practices to reducing their environmental footprint.

Beyond their produce, the farm actively supports initiatives that protect the local ecosystem and contribute to the long-term health of the broader community.

Project Directive

The farm's core objective for installing solar was to significantly lower operational costs associated with powering the broilers and other key machinery critical to its daily function.

In addition to cost efficiency, the farm was deeply committed to achieving these savings in a way that aligned with its environmental values

This decision underpins the farm's dedication to integrating renewable energy solutions, reducing its reliance on traditional power sources and contributing to a more sustainable, environmentally conscious future.

Approach

SEE Developed and installed a cutting-edge solar system tailored to the unique energy demands of the broiler farm, ensuring maximum efficiency and seamless integration with the existing infrastructure.

With a capacity of 100kW, the system was designed to fulfill the farm's immediate power requirements for operating broilers and other critical machinery while also allowing for future expansion.

The flexible design ensures the solar system can grow alongside the farm's needs, providing a sustainable and adaptable energy solution that supports long-term operational goals.

Execution

Designing the solar system for the farm was straightforward, with ample roof space, clear sunlight and ideal roof conditions making the site highly suitable for solar.

However, the remote location presented challenges.

We required accommodation for the installation team and to more strenuously manage logistics for transporting materials to the site.

Additionally, issues with the NMI complicated approvals, though these issues were efficiently overcome by working directly with the grid provider.

Despite these hurdles , the system was successfully installed, demonstrating SEE's adaptability and expertise.

Sustainable Journey

Expansion of SEE's current relationship with the farm hinges on the level of automation they choose to incorporate into its operations.

To support this potential growth, SEE designed a scalable solar solution that can be expanded to meet increased energy demands driven by advancements in automation.

This tailored approach ensures the farm retains the flexibility to adapt its energy infrastructure as its business evolves, maintaining efficiency, low cost access to energy and sustainability.
